"A gentle touch, a loving heart and open mind are what characterize my work philosophy."

I am a very open person with an optimistic outlook and a caring personality. To me, massage is a means, not merely of income, but of finding ways of helping others. With this, I hope that I can evoke a certain trust within the community as a figure of help and relaxation. I hope to portray a figure of comfort and guidance; a person that people come to when they need a moment away from their busy life, or require help in overcoming more chronic problems such as muscle pain, overused muscles, depression or anxiety. I do not propose to be a substitute for a professional psychiatrist if one is needed, but rather an additional support with an alternative approach. I believe that massage can help people find themselves and become more balanced and less hectic in their everyday lives. I believe that every person can reach their full potential by being fully aware of themselves, their actions and their wishes. I hope to offer a service that helps them discern these aspects individually.

I am a holistic thinker, interested in healing not only the body, but mind and spirit as well and in helping people of all ages attain inner balance and health. My style is meditatively slow. My touch is firm, but gentle. My preferred technique is the Auth forearm technique, which effectively allows me to penetrate deep into the tissue using a broader field of pressure, resulting in a less harsh and more comfortable experience.

I am a young woman at heart and happy mother of two grown children. I grew up in Germany and moved to the US about 20 years ago. In Germany, I studied Social Work and Social Pedagogy (the theory and practice of holistic education and care) and am a certified Kinaesthetic Practitioner (certified in the study of the perception of one’s own body motions and its relation to the environment through increased awareness).

In 2012, after 700 hours of intensive training, I graduated from Bodyworks Massage Institute in Evansville as a Massage Therapist with an Indiana license and NBTMB certification.  Through a multitude of courses, I have learned about the anatomy, physiology, kinesiology and pathology of the human body, as well as ethic and professionalism in addition to multiple techniques of massages, breathing techniques and energy theories.  I am incorporating my expertise in ongoing volunteer services to my community.

My home studio is located in domestically tranquil rural subdivision with a quaint charm. I live half way between Mt. Vernon and Evansville and am easily accessible from either direction.  My quiet surroundings offer the perfect atmosphere for relaxation and a peaceful massage. Upon arriving, the large front lawn and gardens offer inviting surroundings and the double front door is always wide open to anybody seeking respite and relaxation. After entering, a sunny waiting room is located on the right, where initial consultations or meetings are held or spare moments can be passed. For entertainment, I have exercise balls of different sizes, magazines, coloring books and home-made preserves, oils, etc for sale. I also have a dozen free-run chickens around the side of the house, which usually offer enough entertainment on their own and whose profuse amount of fresh eggs can also be attained. To the left of the entrance is my massage room.  It is a unique, cozy and inviting room with red and white dotted tapestry and a carpeted floor with a large curtained window on one side, which radiates tranquility. Soothing music and dimmed lights set the atmosphere for luxurious relaxation.
