"Faithfully Fit" is a well rounded, mostly seated exercise program for seniors and people of all ages with movement restrictions. My goals are to decrease pain and increase function. I teach safe, low impact exercises to improve posture, core stability, balance and joint flexibility. It is an excellent fall prevention approach to aging confidently and for pain management. It is a good addition to rehab and physical therapy.

 

I teach Mondays with emphasis on core stability, balance, and joint flexibility.

Pastor Jeff teaches on Thursdays from 9-10 am and focuses on strength straining, core and cardio.

 'Sloba' Class

Sloba

Despite the title, Sloba is not always slow. Heart-pumping exercises alternate with mindful stretches. Exercises are taken from different disciplines like Feldenkrais, Yoga, Touch for Health, Kinesthetic and Oriental Dance. Music varies from hip to meditation. Flexibility, core stability, balance and self-awareness are the main components in this unique fitness program. The instructor tailors each class to the individual needs of the attendees. Her knowledge as a massage therapist helps in addressing moving with pain, range of motion restrictions and postural habits.

'Sloba' is a slow-paced, toning exercise class with emphasis on body posture, balance and flexibility, breathing,  body-mind-coordination and movement awareness.

 

Exercises taken from different disciplines like yoga, Feldenkrais, aerobics and middle Eastern dance, reinforced by a variety of music styles, form this unique exercise program. Easy moves and step formations are fused with stretching, breathing and joint mobilization exercises to strengthen the core, improve posture and balance and increases body awareness.

I am a strong believer in self-help and passionate about helping others to help themselves.

My class is for parents, care givers, couples or anyone else who wants to include massage into their holistic, home wellness concept.

You will learn massage techniques you can use at home to promote relaxation, relieve stress and ease muscle aches.

Basic anatomy and body mechanics are important to learn, to help, not to hurt, yourself and others.

You will practice different modalities hands-on at the massage table verses in the bed, chair and on the floor to imitate the home environment.

Practicing techniques especially tailored to address conditions discussed and chosen by the group, are what makes this class just right for you.

The class will work in rotating pairs; however, it is unnecessary to register with a partner.
