Body Awareness &             Movement Education.

Do you wish to achieve more efficient body mechanics to decrease pain and discomfort?

Whether you are a caregiver or office worker, truck driver or massage therapist, self-awareness is the first step in changing movement patterns into easier, healthier, more dynamic flow patterns.

Take a few moments for yourself and discover new ways to move. Forget for a moment old habits and explore new ideas. See how you move through the world - sitting, standing, walking, running, bending down and picking things up, etc. Learn new patterns of movement to make complicated movements easier and easy movements more comfortable.

Kinaesthetics (movement perception) is the study of body motion & of the perception of one’s own body motions through increased awareness. Kinaesthetics teaches the personal development of such awareness.

Kinaesthetic techniques encourage body awareness and provide an experimental basis for learning to move with greater ease and flexibility. There is no right or wrong way to move for everyone. Begin within your current restriction and expand your movements towards full-body involvement.

Movements will be experienced first, and then explained and discussed.

This is for

anyone who wishes to achieve more efficient body mechanics in order to decrease pain & discomfort. But also, for example, a care-giver or nurse who wishes to assist others more effectively without injuring themselves.

You can expect

an introductory talk to determine your needs & goal for the session (A series of at least six sessions is advised in order to establish new mechanical body patterns).  A combination of activities will aim at eradicating existing habits to allow changes in body mechanics & movements in the future. With growing awareness, emotions may be touched as well. Getting in contact with yourself can help combat emotional stress.

The plan is intended to guide you to self-help, both on a physical & emotional level. This is not a massage, but can be combined.  Active participation is essential. Wear comfortable clothes.

Make it a Group Thing.

The Kinaesthetics Body Awareness Program is also available as an Employee Wellness Program or as a Group Seminar! With a minimum of six people you can start your own group.
